I know about the ability to restore deleted files for 30 days since deletion, but it appears the function is mainly for isolated files and not such big, bloated folders as my user profile. Now, I can't stop cursing the client for such horrible practices as mislabeled buttons misleading about such important technical details as the difference between "configure" and "accept", but it won't help me recovering what was lost. Long story short, I had managed to turn it off after it had already finished synchronizing only, and after that I deleted the backup folder in the Dropbox folder, because of my understanding it's just a regular backup folder, not the original. I clicked the button labeled "Configure", thinking it will let me customize the behavior and learn more of the function initially, but turns out it jumps straight into action. During installation it prompted me to backup my desktop. Recently I have reinstalled Dropbox for an application to sync.
